..first month at work.

SIGH... That pretty much sums it all. I've never felt so incompetent and over the moon at the same time. There were times when I felt like I could have learned more during med school, and maybe if I put in the extra effort, I wouldn't feel so clueless at times.
But there were also times, after patients are discharged and slowly slipped from memory, they ran into you in follow up clinic, called you by your name and thanked you for the care during their stay in the hospital.
There certainly were up times and seriously down times. I guess, I just have to give myself a break, flow with it, and learn from mistakes. After all, it is just my first month of being a doctor.
